As I was driving this morning to my office… I witnessed a truly jaw dropping moment …saw a street barber who is traditionally referred to as Naii had a very fancy looking hair colour chart hanging on the compound wall of an extremely busy street corner in Vile Parle West, as I drove on I was truly intuit whether that hair colour chart was just a display item or something that he actually used, curious I promptly asked my driver to take a U turn to find out.. on asking him if he actually coloured peoples’ hair as well, he proudly nodded and pointed to the chart and said he started this service a few months ago and happily added that he does about 3 to 4 hair colouring jobs a day, all this while he was doing an early shave for a client.

He happily posed for the picture & a client in waiting told him “ areee waah abhi tumhara photo international magazine mein chapega” (man aren’t we all dying to go internationalJ).

It was truly a pleasant sight…… Vanity on streets of Mumbai….India Rocks…. Jai Ho!!!

BTW the hair chart flaunted colours like blondes, reds, burgundies and even pink J
