This dress is a labour of love, hand embroidered by women artisans in the comfort of their home and at their own pace in a remote village of India. This type of embroidery is worked on with a traditional cobbler needle and requires immense skill and extensive practise.
The fabric takes 45 to 60 days to be handwoven on a traditional handloom, while the embroidery takes 60 to 65 days, and further embellishments take 8 to 12 days. This dress travels a total of 1100 miles from one village to another, and finally to our eco-friendly design headquarters in Mumbai. This truly is slow fashion.
Lightweight, regular fit, knee length, a-line, thin shoulder straps with a drawstring waist.
