This dress is a labour of love, handwoven by traditional artisans in the comfort of their home and at their own pace in a remote village of India. This type of fabric is woven with locally sourced cotton and silk yarn, and uses environment friendly waterless printing techniques. Handweaving is an heirloom craft passed down through generations and requires extensive practise.
The fabric takes around 45 to 60 days to be handwoven on a traditional handloom. This dress travels a total of 900 miles from a remote village to our eco-friendly design headquarters in Mumbai. This truly is slow fashion.
Lightweight, regular fit, ankle length, thin shoulder straps with tie-up detailing at the back and a drawstring waist.
